S&A corporate social responsibility [CSR] is deeply rooted in our culture as a way to give back to the community and thank our customers for their loyalty. Rita and Nip both give back to the community in so many ways by helping small, minority, and women-owned businesses in our community. Their alliances, partnerships, and collaborations to jumpstart the small businesses have helped the economic development in our communities. They give their time, talent, resources, and financial support very generously.
One of their many efforts to support and empower women regionally and globally was when Rita, with the unconditional support of Nip, established the non-profit organization Elite Women Around The World Foundation. EWAW has brought regional and global leaders to Cleveland through the various leadership and entrepreneurial programs. Over the years, they have put together programs advocating, supporting the economic self-sufficiency, growth, and wellness for all women, with a key focus on underprivileged women and girls.
Their humanitarian efforts have been through their project – Wave of Hope®, which established Disaster Relief Funds to support women, children, and victims affected by natural disasters such as Tsunami Haiti and Katrina. They stepped forward again in 2017 when they spearheaded a Disaster Relief program for the victims of Harvey, Irma, and Maria.
They have and continue to volunteer and serve on various civic and professional organization boards and committees. Their leadership, integrity, compassion, and empathy have brought them recognition with numerous awards and accolades throughout regional, national, and global communities.
